Family Tree

I am working on an online family tree. Most of the work so far has been on my father's side of the family. You can navigate from his record to anywhere else in the tree. But you need the latest version (6+) of Netscape or Internet Explorer, because I am using XML and XSL stylesheets!

Family Snaps

On this page I have provided links to some pictures of those individuals unfortunate enough, by an accident of birth or the misfortune of marriage, to be related to the owner of this site.

For example, I am one of those sad people who wears a suit all the time, even on holiday. Here I am in Antrim on a dirty week-end with the missus.

I have now scanned in an album of photographs from my Oxford days — one or two good pictures in there.

My dear father in the robes of a Circuit Judge, in which capacity he sat on the Western Circuit 1975-1990. More pictures of him can be reached through his record in the family tree. I have compiled an album on my mother also.

My son Declan is now Assistant Professor in Philosophy at Ohio State University. His doctoral thesis can be obtained from his personal web page at New York University.

He is a 1st Dan in Judo, in which sport he successfully represented Oxford University in the Varsity Match. We see him here bearing his trophy from an international competition at Venray in the Netherlands, back when he was a young but dangerous blue belt.

Next, my daughter Rebekah, now a qualified and practising Occupational Therapist, wife and mother! Here she is pictured on her wedding day. Her firstborn, Lucy, arrived on 2003/09/12 and already has her place in the family tree.

My youngest son is Augustine. Formerly a keen equestrian, he is now reading Medicine at Durham & Newcastle University. He gained silver medal in his weight category in the 2004 UK University Boxing Championship.

Then there is my beautiful niece Olivia.

Not yet incorporated into the family tree, here is a delightful portrait of my wife's parents, John and Frankie Finigan. Augustine has written a biography of his maternal grandfather, John Patrick Finigan.
